Changing Fashion Market
As seen the impact of fashion has changed and developed more than before. A business is more aware of society changes and the impact it has on their consumer’s needs. This has also changed how the consumers have changed from buying anything and being sold to advertise to more conscious of what they buy causing them to be more demanding and have an awareness.
This has improved many methods of clothing productions as many liked to have more ethical and sustainable clothing, which have a less impact on the environment. Chasing the fashion market to develop ways to encourage consumers to buy, but to make sure their needs is fulfilled. This is by reusing of waste fabric recycles, to craft design clothing to make a new clothing and to design long lasting products that would be made through more sustainable material (Future learn, 2018). Causing an area of fashion to be more ‘Eco-Fashion’.
Fashion has also developed to fight more against animal cruelty, using products that have more been taken from animals costing their lives, Such as ‘Faux Fur’ which simulates real animal fur by being made from polymeric fibres that are processed, dyed, and cut to match a specific furtexture and colour, or the use of less chemicals, waste to have less of an impact and cause environmental damage( How product are made: N.D.)
The change of fashion is also caused by the generational shift. Which has caused an impact in how a product would be interacting with a certain type of generation or how the product would be identified. This has also changed for many brands who are marketing trough Brick and Mortar or Digitally or Both. Having to be aware of how they are going to interact with the certain generations and show how different experiences would impact the industry. As online shopping makes it easier for consumers but develops problems for High Streets.
As for Abercrombie & Fitch their main factor is to be aware of the generational gap, which could cause more problem towards the future, if marketing is not similar to the aimed target. To gain the correct identity of the brand and the product with in that they of the market. Or how certain factors such as ethics and environmental can cause issues based on the developed countries the products are made with working conditions and labour. As well as being aware of the discrimination about the change in employees.
